Getaway, we’ll leave the city folk

Talking to  brides-to-be over the past years  it is apparent that the new trend for a hen party is for something a little more relaxing with friends and family.  Rather than donning the net curtain veil and the ‘L’ plate and going out on a pub crawl in a city the preference is relaxing and quality places to stay.

Since I started Perfect Pamper back in 2009 I have seen the increase in business in hen parties being  held in weekend holiday cottages. It makes it easier for friends and family who don’t live near each other to make their way to a chosen location that suits the whole party.

I have learned making your own entertainment or booking service for things to do, getting your consumables delivered or booking a caterer, makes the event really hassle free.

It’s been amazing to see rapid growth of self-catering businesses in luxury and historical properties popping up in Norfolk and Suffolk and they all want market share of the weekend break business.

With the enquiries I have been getting from groups of girl’s or large family gathering wanting our pampering service,  but have a certain need for location, accommodation type and budget, I have started to look at the weekend break des-res market to develop contacts with various accommodation rated venues.

Weekend break prices range from £1200 for the tastefully furnished Shepley House  in a small norfolk village and Fir Lodge, a cabin surrounded by lakes and woodland in West Norfolk, to £4,000 for the newly restored and refurbished five star self-catering luxury accommodation of Sibton Hall at Wilderness Reserve in parkland just outside Peasenhall in Suffolk.  The cost is split between the group, so the larger the property the less financial layout per person I required.
