The HEAT is on
What a Scorchio we’ve had so far this year. I recently returned from a holiday to Roses on the Catalan coast of Northern Spain and the last night was 38 degrees at 10.30pm. Thank the inventor Willis Carrier for air-conditioning. I’ll add my recommendation of the town of Roses, especially Canyelles the prettiest resort with the most gorgeous beach and sea. If you haven’t been it’s a must. Good location for Barcelona via the bullet train and trips to the Salvador Dali Museum and Dali’s house at Cadaques and the vineyard visits are enjoyable too.
Anyway, I’m back home in the UK and it’s glorious weather with electric fans and not so much air- conditioning, but who cares it’s just lovely to feel good in the sunshine.
With our mobile spa service, we visit many rural places in the countryside many properties stand alone surrounded by fields of arable crops and the silence is deafening apart from the occasional sound of the wildlife going about its daily business.
This time of year, we get a few of our guests wanting al fresco massages so we set-up in outside spaces making sure that we and our client are shaded and not going to be barbequed by the end of a 60-minute massage. The feeling of wellbeing from the natural warmth from the sun, a light breeze, birds chatting and the aromatherapy smells from the oil is a grounding experience for the client, and I can say from my experience it’s a nice place for the therapist too.
If you’re staying in a remote location during glorious weather months, then do consider a mind healing massage out in the open. It’s a wonderful sensation.
